The funny thing is i don't have a garage. I do all my work in my back yard. So i finally got a start on my festiva build once again. I bought a 89 about 3 years ago with big plans for it only to find out the car is unregisterable. I had the aspire swap and toys all lined up for it, but had to put that project on hold. Anywho i found a 91 festiva that has me back in the game so decided to start a build thread with many pictures. Not gonna tell you everything i have but will show you as i get them done with pictures

So lets see this 91 i picked up.

Here is the 89 parts car

Ok here is a teaser of what's to come. Few parts in the car.

Stopped at the local pick n pull j/y and found some goodies
    4 Gauge stinger wire

    Alpine Type S 6.5" Coaxials

My rear wiper filler cap is broke

So i got me a replacement

Driver side tail light the amber faded so got replacements to, but might use the smoothies off the 89 like the looks of them better

Ok so that is all i'm gonna show you for now will get more up as time goes by. So stay tuned.

Congratulations for staying in the game!

What's the build date on your '91? It has an LX badge so I'm wondering. I thought '90 was the last year for those. I'm guessing late '90.

Ok so it's time to start doing some work to the car. When i bought the car it was winter and the guy i bought it from had a piece of cardboard in front of the rad. Long story short one day coming home from work the cardboard moved over to the exhaust manifold and caught fire.

So decided it was time to fix the fire damage and plus i dont care for the blue so it's getting a new paintjob as well. Here me and my dog are tearing car apart.

I work in a paintshop so decided to take all the smaller stuff in and do it while it is raining out these days. Here is the bumper skin sanded and almost ready for primer. BTW it is a PITA to get all the lil plastic screws that hold the skin on all off haha

The red car hood was in way better shape so used it even though it had 5 hail damage dents.

After all the parts were bodyworked and primed.

Decided that i want my engine bay black so did the underside of the hood black.

Also found the rims i will sporting on my project. Some Atlas 15x6.5 40 offset. Gonna run some Falken Ziex 195/50R15 on them.

Stay tuned for more to come. I don't get back here often but i will be back
