Is the Festiva stock engine a no-tolerance engine or not?

I've searched all over the internet and came up with about 50/50 results.

I'd like to know if I have to be urgent on replacing the timing belt or not.

Everything I have found says that it is a non-interference engine.

If your engine has 100,000 + miles and you're not sure if it has been changed I would change it. You can get a timing belt and tensioner from rockauto for 40-60$ depending on brand. I got the goodyear timing kit for like 46$

They are none interference..... I'd leave the belt on until it breaks, unless your bored one day and wanna change it because you can

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

They tolerate alot! Including a broken timing belt.
