Yeah, that is my thinking...hoping the brakes now will pass inspection. I don't think they are that bad, but if I can get it to pass inspection I can take my time on sourcing an Aspire that is on it's last leg.

Sad news. Local Auto Salvage broke the windshield I was going to buy when they were trying to remove it. Now I have to pay an extra 25 bucks and wait two more days to get a windshield installed from the local glass place.

Well I got my Wolo Max Sound 320-2t horns today, but I ran out of daylight trying to take the darn stock horn out. Should have just cut the wire like I ended up doing anyway!
Now I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mount these darn things. There are two of them...a high and a low tone and they take up some space. Thinking about trying to mount them against the engine sidewall on the passenger side. Gonna take the fender off tomorrow and see how much room I have there too...might mount them inside the finder if there is room. We'll see.

The top drivers side of my windshield looks like it is peeling up. Should I be worried about this when they go to install my new windshield? Has the glue just come off on the driver side?
You can see right after the little clip thing in the center it starts coming unattached from the windshield.

Well they'll be installing it tomorrow morning. Hoping they don't run into any issues with it being kind of messed up. Would like for it to sit flush though.

Your horns are an easy, albeit time-consuming task. You have a few clips up front to remove, and six nuts. Pop the hood and look down into the engine bay on the radiator support. At bumper level, there is a nut on either side. Then there are two in each fender. You'll also want to remove the bumper spacing/support rods while you're down there. There is a screw (or supposed to be) mounting the bumper cover to the fenders on either side, and it may be necessary to pull the fenders off or pull the cover down to remove a bolt that again holds the bumper cover to the fenders at the sides. You'll see which clips you need to remove when you pull the bumper forward.
The reason you want to go through all that is because the bumper acts as a shroud to amplify the hornS in their stock locations. There's one on either side depending on the model. I bought a pair of Explorer horns and mounted them in the stock locations using the stock brackets and they're LOUD. Point them up a bit, and you'll get the perfect sound level. In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

Wow!! That sounds time consuming. I spend about an hours with my hand in the most awkward position trying to remove that bolt holding the horn down on the passenger side. Finally got it out, but it was a pain. The Wolo horns I'm hoping are much louder than the stock one and I'm gonna try to install them either in the passenger fender well if there is room or on that side of the engine bay. I didn't think the Festiva had dual horns to start with?

I believe I've got just a Plain Jane L. I felt around on the drivers side front bumper where the horn was located on the other side and didn't feel one.
I'll have to investigate further tonight.

Got the horns installed. Was quite easy. You just splice the one horn wire into the two for each of my new Wolo horns and then there is a ground for each horn. I took the passenger fender off and installed them in the fender well there. Just had to drill two holes and splice some wires and I was done. Video to come later.

Had the car inspected today and the brakes failed. He said the fronts look pretty new, but the backs aren't staying engaged. They are losing pressure. Suggestion is to purchase and install a new Master Cylinder.
Anyway while the car was up on the lift I took some pics.

Is this like a Master Cylinder Upgrade?
