Did u have to get a longer speedo cable i have a 91L and got a a cluster with a tach but the speedo cable is too darn short

When you go from a regular cluster to a tach cluster you have to reroute the speedo cable to the right side. If you try pulling it through that square frame hole thing it won't go over to that side. If you try to make it work you will just kink/bend your cable and make it bounce when you do reroute it...ask me how I know!

Could i just get the cable from the car i originally got the cluster from ? I thought i wouldnt need it so i didnt get it

You should be able to reuse your cable. What I did was pulled it all the way out from the engine bay and then put it back in and routing it toward the passenger side and making sure to go under that bracket/frame thing that it used to go right through the middle of.

Got pistons in today. Oil pan tomorrow.

Oil pan installed. And install escort gt oil cooler. And water test head no leaks or cracks good sign.

After head shave and pressure test ok. Now fun the rain to stop so I can finish it.

Got it all together and timing perfect but no start and loud back fire.

Drove it around all day today and no smoke or issues that I see FM7 I'm ready.

Thanks. And got a little cash put aside for it and maybe need to start the yearly florida convoy thread. Like last year we left on Thursday and left FM6 on Sunday I liked that a lot and have 2 rooms set aside for the florida guys if they don't mind sharing $40 a night. Nice and cheap and at a good hotel right done the street from barb's.
