Project "El Festivo" build thread

Project "El Festivo" is underway.

This is what I want the end result to somewhat look like. Different rims and paint but u get the idea. Add in a roll cage and shave all handles and locks. I'm going to weld in a divider right behind the seats to separate the "cab" from the "bed".

I know this is someone else's photoshop job.... But,

Bought some bumpers yesterday.....





A Lil rattle can paint job to clean them up....

What (if anything) are you going to do for a top?

I don't plan on having a top, but if I do. I'm gonna have a custom snap tight cover (like a truck bed cover) and put the snaps on the top of the windshield support and the top of what's left of the "hatch"

Installed the front bumper today....



Got some headlights I'm gonna fab to fit.... Got them off a '90 BMW 7series at Pull-a-Part

Bought some hood hinges from Pull A Part off a 90's Jaguar. Gonna give the Festy a flip hood.

Picked up the Aspire trailing arm from the local JY. Ordered the stud conversion kit for the wheels. Plan on ordering rims and tires by the end of the week. Roll cage probably to be ordered from next weeks paycheck.

These are the wheels I'm buying, they are 14x5.5, and the tires I'm getting will be 255/55/14
