    1988 LX

First post I picked this up here on base (Davis-Monthan AFB Arizona) I paid way more than what its worth 1100$. But It reminded me of being a kid in my older brothers 91 festiva.(my older brother passed away 4 days after I bought it:cry_smile: he was only 36yrs (heart attack) It runs good (160000 miles)and the AC even works when I jiggle the key in the ignition?major plus. The gauges are bouncy or they just get stuck sometimes. Its missing the underseat tray oh well. The paint looks like doodoo but no rust (arizona car)
Now for the worse part the inside is beyond filthy. The prior owner must have been a chain smoking oil rig mechanic. I can literally feel myself get cancer trying to clean this interior.
    My plans are to..
1st keep trying to defunk the inside
2nd Install stereo and speakers (already bought just sitting in my garage)
3rd general maint. oil change and maybe some new tires. I would like to fix the gauges but im not that mech. inclined.
    4th monstaline the outside
    5th tint windows.

I will post pictures when it becomes something more to look at than just a run down 88lx.

Sorry to hear about your brother, best wishes to you and your family. Glad you'll be driving something that reminds you of him, as for however long you own that car, it'll be like you're carrying a piece of him with you.

Cool to see somebody from the WV on here. I lived in Winfield WV(bout 30mins from Charleston) for 8 years before the Air Force moved me all over.

Welcome, PointAtoB! I've noticed a small explosion of new members coming from AZ. At this point, there are enough of you to have your own meet.

Regarding your brother, I'm sorry that happened. 36 is far too young.

You'll find we're a big family here, for the most part. I've found this site to be mandatory reading and an integral part of Festiva ownership. If you are mechanically inclined at all, you can fix your own car.

You're also in the realm of Advancedynamix, a forerunner of the improvement movement.
              In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"
