Figured my first post might as well be a build thread. Picked this puppy up early this summer with the intentions of putting a motorcycle engine in the back.... BUT, I came across this forum and knew I had to go capri swap. So I searched for a few months and found a good deal on a capri about 3 hours away from me (I live around Chicago) so I got that and have been trying to get this thing going ever since. Was hoping to go to byron tomorrow (drag strip by me) but of course I was a cheap-o and got the ebay AN fittings and one cracked. So maybe next weekend if im lucky (last one of the season is next weekend I think) Anyways heres a few pics I snapped along the way. Also I learned a TON from trolling this board, I knew 0 about these cars/swaps..all I needed was the search function. Will try to get more pics soon and update some of the details.

        That is a bigger radiator.

Stock single core kept my b6t cool just fine.

looks nasty! what size turbo is that? where all going to have to meet up next summer my car should be ready by then!

thats a hondu radiator, the stock one was terriable for me especially in stop and go, it would boil over. the only stock radiator i would suggest if you has to would be the 2 core auto, but for the price you cant be a 70 ebay civic radiator.

Nice build! Is that an ebay miata manifold? What are you doing for engine management?

Is that an ebay tacotaco turbo manifold?

Finally happy someone is trying one out:

Did do any relief cuts on the manifold flange?

I was wondering what that stuff that looked kind of like it might be powder coated was under there...

darn I must be missing it but I have no idea how to edit a post. oh well heres a few pics I snapped today and a short vid. Car is not running too good but pulls pretty hard.

radiator is a honda, car trolley I made out of some heavy wheels and 4x4's. Core support was so rotted on this thing I really had no option but to remove it and make my own.
Manifold is a ebay miata. There is still a ton of work to be done but I really just wanted to get it out to the track 1 time before winter also I have not hooked up
the nitrous yet but plan to go with a very small shot . oh and im using ecu w rocket chip, and its using the capri trans with a 6 puck

Me likey! Me likey so darn much!

Love how you kept the rust hole in the door. Makes the sleeper affect 10X greater. Hope you keep it that way.

Oh, and I don't think anyone but admins can edit posts after something like an hour..
