  • #8 is here! Blue GL!

Picked this up tonight! #8! and... she's rust free!!! Main reason I got it! Finally have one with solid rockers! Yes it needs lots of TLC but it's a solid shell! Dents bother me not! I'll fix it at my work sometime, pick up some good fenders and hood to put on it. Big plans for this one! Stay tuned!

Don't worry the slushbox is going out!

-93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.
-88' Mazda 323 SE, work in progress..
    -85' Nissan Sentra 5 spd.

Congrats on the new one. Some of you amaze me (In a Good way). Y'all have multiple festivas and I can't get around to getting mine one 100% running or even get it looking half way decent.

What did you have to give for it? Looks like it has some potential!

GL Auto with aluminum wheels and the matching bumpers. Good score. Needs work, but a very good start it would seem.

You gotta make your way to KC so we can all take your spare parts!

I do have some parts to share, when i got into these great little cars i kinda went a little overboard, i bought and striped everything i could find, one of these days i'll make it to K.C. a friend of mine from north of K.C. once told me, quantity is ok but quality is what you need so now i'm more selective.

It looks to be in really good shape. Looks like a blue version of Rosie, my 93 GL auto.

Pulled the old oily locked up engine out, and slushbox!

Cleaned up nice! Still have a ways to go with cleaning it.. man was it caked with oil!!!

Where it sits, til the new drivetrain is ready to go in.

Reason why this car is getting built! Solid!

Yeah! Why I had to snatch this car! Perfect base to finally do what I've been wanting to do with a festiva for a long long time...

Well, update but no pics.. Stripped the interior to inspect the floorboards, solid no holes just some surface rust in a few spots that will need attention. Also decided instead of straightening the driverside quarter panel I will replace it with one off my 93' Shell. It could be straightened but it would be a PITA, faster/easier and better finished product just to replace it. Next thing I will do is that and after the rust on the floors is taken care of I'll start swapping the wiring out for a manual harness since I'm going from ATX to MTX trans swap.
