    WOW!

    It's been 2 years!!!!

Business took off and I had no time or energy to continue with the build, but luckily enough I held onto the car and waited patiently until the opportunity to continue presented itself. And finally it's here!
I've decided to turn up the dial on build quality so I've stripped most of the stuff out again and am doing a bunch of little things to make the build more satisfying.

    First order of business:

    Lower radiator support.

Gave the valve cover a light polish.

Got injectors cleaned, flowed, and resealed. $60!! Bargain!!

Fitted alternator and (more importantly) mocked up my stainless steel mount spacers.

Hrrrrrm .. They need to be rooted to make android any good.

Cyanogenmod 11 is apparently pretty reliable, and is being recommended as the first android ROM outside of googles lineup to be considered stable enough to be included with android phones..

I've used it and tbh.. Beats the too out of stock android and any other ROM for android.. Even has a simple to install process too.

I'm just speaking the truth. I'm on my 4th android handset. They're reliable for about 12 months.
They must have a sh¡t yourself chip in them.

I've had Ericsson, Samsung, cheap no name brands, and even Google nexus.
    All crap.
I've got an iPad, and it never misses a beat, even when my kids open every app and watch you tube with all the apps opened in the background.

My android tablet dies every time that happens

Here's some updates of what's going on in my garage.

Been real busy and have been doing things in dribs and drabs as I find spare time.

The block came back (6 weeks late). It was bored 20 thou to fix up my liberal application of the hone. It was also decked 15 thou as it wasn't dead flat.
This led to the new pistons sticking out past the deck and raising compression to over 9:1, so I had the choice to use a thicker head gasket or machine the piston tops.
I don't like adding thickness to head gaskets as this is known to increase the occurrence of detonation so I chose to deck the pistons.

    I assembled the block

And had to tear it down again when I realised I lubed up both sides of the crank bearings. I know its pretty extreme, but spinning a bearing due to something I could've prevented would be unforgivable.

So I cleaned the bearings, lubed the right side, and reassembled the block.

Next was the head, along with a 40 thou cometic head gasket, and some ARP studs for good measure.

Not the best photo, but head is on

And yesterday I kept on assembling, and this is where I'm at (the yellow in the photos is from my work light. It turns all my photos yellow for some reason)
