so, no air shocks in the back anymore? Why?
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

                Thanks^

The air shocks were awesome as far as wanting a "stiffer" ride without rattling the car to pieces like some coil overs, But this is my DD and will be doing about 450 miles a week.
I wanted a smoother ride and the air shocks didnt have fast enough "rebound?" when going over bumps, by rebound I mean, (its slow to compress and decompress) when I stand on back bumper, then get off, it takes a second to lift back to normal height. Might just needed to be broken in? I only put 40 miles on them before swapping. Might try and sell them since the are "bolt on"

as for that rim in the pic, I bought the set(4) oct. '09 but was wrong pattern Dang! lol. it goes to early '70's spitfire,MG,etc. "small RWD cars" Bolt pattern 4x108
I have more pix of them. been debating on posting them on craigslist.

                    Made its First Road Trip!

I Have worked really hard to get All Mechanical parts done to my Festiva, and Finally finished them Yesterday(My Bday!) at that point I had driven 290 (hassle free miles)
I got to see my son for my Bday so I took the festy the 150 Mile trip to Huntsville, and doing 75-80mph I got roughly 35/36mpg!!!banana time
TOTAL MILES SINCE INSTALL IS 655.1

Here is my Best Bday Present EVER!!!!!

As for the trip, The festy was Awesome! No Problems at all! no leaks, shutters, shakes, noises, etc!:naka:

Here are the pix I took half way with the weather slightly chillyish. Car is dirty because I was Focusing on the Business side of the car first:thumbs_up:

Here is what I had to deal with on the way back!?!?!? Snow+lightning+thunder+Dumb Drivers! Festy didnt skip a beat, zooming past in the fast lane with no Problems at ALL! :walk:

Thesen were taken at same spot I stopped at starting the trip

                    BEST PIC EVER!

About to take my 2nd road trip and see how the Festy handles it! This trip will put me over the 1000 Mile mark on the Build!
Taking my Trailer and Bike along because I might be trading the bike.... So far on my test Run, I cant even tell the trailer/bike is back there.

empty trailer. (that is a 1971 Land Rover Series 2 Frame getting restored once the body/new frame arrives in a couple of weeks)

Loaded and ready to go. Need to shoot a coat of paint on the trailer, Looks WAY older than it really is, lol.
