Damkid is a bad influence!!
Good way to start a thread? LOL. Well, I was already currupt to some degree to do something radical to a Festiva. I was looking at a powertrain that, stock, would be around 200hp. So I found the 4G63 and started looking for Eagle Talons or Mitsubishi Eclipse GSXs, but afraid of another moneypit that would be fun for one summer but than spend eternity in my garage I reluctant but still looking. Whenever I get on Kijiji I would search for the DSMs but also when I remember every couple of months I'd search for Festivas because of a Sport Compact Car I got in like 2004 lol.
I finally found one that wasn't a complete rustbucket and bought it for 1000 bucks. Power-to-weigh ftw! Still with images of 'bulletproof' 500hp DSMs running 10's in my head I was looking for a contributor to my project. Now that I owned the car I was checking out more videos on youtube and saw some guys with a turbo BP swap looking like they were having way too much fun in it, in the process I found Damkid's thread on clubprotege. All the fun without the turbo...and than videos of a Mazda 323 running 11's with a naturally aspirated KLZE sealed the coffin.
Chris is a huge help, convincing me that it's not as hard as it looks. So why the hell not!
With a search on Kijiji with 'search all of ontario' selected I found a Ford Probe within walking distance from my house...500 bucks, running motor everything else was junk. Another coincidence is that my gf was in Cuba for a week so I had lots of time to kill!

I'll post more pics, but the motor is currently out and the Probe's already scrapped. Festiva is untouched.
