  • Bought a Festiva!

    Hey everyone!
Just popping in to share the Festiva I bought, I'm an active Focus owner/ board member on Focaljet and FocusFanatics. I've read a bit and have some plans for the Festiva! Here's just a couple of pictures:

    And one with my ZX3:

I'd like to swap the auto transmission out, but haven't started looking for anything about doing that yet. Definitely planning on a BP swap and turbo in the future, who knows when. That swap seems easy and totally worth it. Let me know what you all think!

Forgot all about that! It's a 1990, no AC, 218K on the body and I'm thinking 140K-ish on the motor. There's yellow paint saying 78K all over it so I'm assuming they mean that's when it was put in. The body is decent, but there's rocker spots that are missing? Hard to explain, they look like they started to rust away but someone caught it, who knows lol

            Bought a Festiva!

The 78K on the motor probably came from the supplier of the donor engine to let you know how many miles the engine had on it before it was pulled.

                Bought a Festiva!

I'd start the courting process (falling in love with yer Festiva) by fixing the little things. Check out the escort dome light swap, cargo light, radio upgrades... The wipers are 16" stock, I find 20" driver's side and 18" passenger's work better.

Also, put your location in your profile. You might live by some members to convoy to meets with, muahahaha.

Thanks for the wiper info! As for the audio I'm way ahead of you. I'm working on the radio, already have an infinity reference 8" sub, have some kenwood 5.25" speakers for the back, and I'm ordering Kicker 4's. The light swaps are up and coming, I'm finding threads and so on.

I would stay with the auto trans if you're going big motor+boost. Turbos like torque converters, plus it's strong enough.
