  • possible fueltank swap.

Came across this fueltank from a hilux 2001..

now looking at the underside of the muttstiva festiva i noticed that we have quite a lot of unused space (picture 11)

i know it's a long shot, but does anyone think that this tank could possibly fit in that area under the seat at all?

    Modification ideas accepted also.

also found this one http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTAwMFg5OT...D+!~~60_12.JPG which came from a 1989-1997 hilux.. according to the ad, it's a 65 litre tank.

anyone crazy to try to attempt this at all and tell us the results.

No way. You would need to get a custom molded racing fuel cell. Not enough room.

it's such a sexy idea. imagine instead of 38 liters (30 gallons approx) to have 65.. i wouldn't have to fill up for a few months then lol

38 liters is 10 gallon. But my question is, don't you guys down under have to have some kind of special engineering license for even a B6 swap? Can't imagine they'd be any more lenient on a gas tank swap, but maybe I'm wrong?
        No festiva for me ATM...

The Plastic tank off an AVEO/Swift , is awefully close to our tanks , its just a tad wider , I tried to fit it under the hood for my shogun.

I think you should start there. Im unsure of the gallons of it though.
