  • B3T build

I suppose it's time to start an actual thread for this. I'm currently in the middle of disassembling everything and cleaning it.

running total of cost (will be updated as it increases): $520
    350 for car
    80 for tranny gears
40 for intercooler, BOV, wastegate and turbo
    50 for fluids
    ?? for gaskets on everything

    - The bay in its current state.

    - head before:

    - head after a bit of cleaning:

    - top end mostly reassembled (valve cover isn't actually bolted in)

    - closer look at those crusty pistons:

up next is going to be:
    - finding a TD04-9b flange for fab
    - some new hoses (coolant)
    - actually buying the transmission cores from skeeters_keeper
    - pulling the block (just to clean, the amount of grime on everything is unbelievable)
    - oil catch can for PCV & check valve from a honda brake booster line

further in the future is going to be:
    - piping for intercooler
    - new exhaust
    - rack bushings
    - sway bar, end link, control arm bushings

1992 Festy GL, 5spd (she be broken :/)

Also, how she looked when I first bought her:

Finished an 18 rack with some friends last night pulling the other axle out and obsessively cleaning the transmission.
Anyone know if my wheel bearings will fall out if I tow it without axles in it?

You dont want to tow it like that. The axle and nut compress the bearings together, moving it around the shop is ok though.

Do you think it would be safe to move it about a block in this condition?
