I have the front end finished ( well mocked up anyway) with some minor stuff to do ( mount calipers, run lines etc) but I was able to keep the 16x7 almost inside the fenders. The tires will be 205 50 16 and I shouldn't have clearance issue but the fenders front will get mild flairs. With the 16 wheel I don't have clearance issues with the front SHO 1994-1995 10.6 brake rotors. The rear will be running 245 40 17 on 17x9.
I needed the machine shop to ream out two holes in the spindles and after two weeks they had not started. I took my parts out and took them to work . I made a jig to support the spindles and reamed them on a large drill press. Took 10 minutes each.
The real shoguns used a 205 60 15 tire and a 15 x 8 with less back spacing , this way they had more clearance around the factory sway bar BUT this is why they need larger flares in the front, the tire stuck out farther.
With it running a little behind schedule I will be taking most of August off to get it finished before fall cruise at OC Maryland.
