I'm starting a thread of everything I do here. Tired of posting different threads for different projects and cars. I'll just compile it all in one spot, kinda like eurotiva did, but without all the exotic stuff he gets into lol..

I don't remember posting this video yet.. It's the b6t car (Fiona) running, I just free'd up the calipers so I'm hoping to start driving it again soon? Been down way too long, I miss driving her! Gotta finagle a new radiator in and put a good hose clamp on a heater core line.

93 festiva91 Merc capri 1.6 turbo motor 91 capri g series MT with MFactory helical type limited slip differential02 Kia Rio axles :)

The Aspire is doing great, getting ready to roll over 125k within the week and averaging 33/28mpg. I switched to 5w-30 royal purple but other than that I haven't had to do any work to her lately..don't plan on any either!

I AM slowly getting my garage fixed up like I've been saying I was going to. To the guys that saw it at the end of the winter months, IM SORRY! Lol.. It'll be cleaner next time!

This is my latest addition, took down the old trusty harbor freight tarps and framed in the walls then put osb up. Eventually I will get siding on it to match the rest of the house, i'm holding out to see if I can squeeze in an 8' lean to first tho lol..

    image.jpgimage.jpg

I put up some 2'x4' shelves, i ran out of room horizontally, so the only logical thing to do was stack crap vertically!

Also picked up a new to me stove hehe, I'm hoping to start baking car parts as soon as late next week? (Fingers crossed)

    image.jpgimage.jpg

And finally for this post lol.. Last week I made my mom a sweet piece of yard art. My dad brought this home about a dozen years ago and my mom took it in the divorce. It's been laying sideways in her yard since then. Its a 'timber head' that was ripped off a barge. This is what we wrap wires and lines around to keep barges together. I welded a piece of steel to the bottom, and a metal rod to that so she can stab it in the ground so it'll sit up right.

This is 1" cast steel, imagine how hard my dad had to pull to get it off that barge lol..

That timber head is cool, wanted to get some for my driveway, but I'm sure someone would run into them.

I really need more storage room lol, I know I'll just fill it up but I need to keep my work area clean and clear lol.

Btw I ordered the powder coating kit from eastwood, it has alot of good reviews except for being fragile, guess I'll have to handle with care heh... Should be here Friday!! Already have some good ideas, I want to powdercoat a full set of pulleys festiva and aspire, cam crank alt WP, ac if i can get abold of one... Buy some HF box wrenches, drill a couple holes, heat with a torch and bend, PC and use as wall/tool hangers for my power tools!... Wheels of course... Camshaft shifter knobs(watch for new batch FS soon while supplies last!!)... Much much more! Hopefully I can get this working!

The Eastwood powder coat gun can quickly give small parts a long-lasting finish. Our HotCoat system was developed so anybody can do professional powder coating work.

Got the stove wired up, spliced it into the welder outlet so I didn't have to buy another $15 plug. Just used some 8/3 wiring on it, I don't expect it to give me any problems, it's 6/2 to the outlet from the 50A breaker.

Got the boys' bike in the garage the other day and did a tune up, plug and carb cleanout. I readjusted the needle valve to make it run a little leaner, little more power since they're a year older and a little more experienced. Removed the throttle stop, and put a new cdi box on from a 110, it should go 10-15 mph faster now 40-50ish. I know they're gonna tear it up but soon they'll need a bigger bike anyway. I might put a big bore kit on it next year, that's really all you can do to make it any more powerful, depends on how well it holds up this year, may not be worth it if they tear it up haha..

The aspire rolled over 125k monday! I hate putting all these miles on it but nothing lasts forever so I might as well drive it.

Finally started one of the projects I've been talking about for awhile now. I think I have all the materials collected that I'll need to finish it. All those axles I had laying around will finally be put to use haha.. A couple guys know what up but those that don't will just have to wait till it's done.. Or txt me to find out :p

Teaser pic, hopefully I get it finished tomorrow or this weekend B)

Thanks! I like the results. Its such a pita to clean stuff tho. I have a set of rims i want to do for myself tomorrow. I need to get some kind of a gadget to hold them first tho.

I want to post some pics of the boat I've been working on lately. The boss had me paint the outside last summer, this summer I'm refurbishing the inside. They put it up on drydock last week and blasted the bottom, replaced the skin coolers, then we painted the whole bottom. It's turning out really nice too, gonna be a brand new boat lol..

Will do! I'm off work for a couple days but i'll get to it.

I did a second coat to two tone a couple camshaft shift knobs, they turned out pretty alright.

Started on a wheel I want to powder coat lol. I need to get some sort of jig mocked up tomorrow.

                        Plenty of curb rash lol...

You can see pretty much all the scratches are gone, there's just one or two tiny tiny scratches left on the face. This is 45 mins with 50 grit on a palm sander. I highly doubt I'll be doing this type of refurbishing and PC'ing for someone other than myself, unless someone wants to pay me for my time lol. This was the worst one so hopefully it turns out alright!

It looks like shallow spots in this pic but I didn't see them in person, who knows I guess we'll have to wait and see how it comes out of the oven!

Thanks! I didn't get to powder coat it yet. Might get to it this week. I think I'm going to have to just buy a air compressor. mine barely builds up to 80psi and quits. Don't know if it's a capacitor or a worn out compressor or motor or what but it's not doin too well.

I did get other stuff done today, hoping I can get a steel top bench built this week. I got my boy to make a couple shelves for screwdrivers.

                            image.jpg

                            image.jpg

Then I had him powder coat the handles of some new wrenches I bought. When he was taking the aluminum foil off the ends he kept telling me "I did a really good job....wow these turned out great....Ah man that one is perfect...." LOL, they did turn out pretty good tho.
                            image.jpg

We got a jump on another project too, but I'll save that for later.

So much stuff going on right now lol, I got a chance to snap a couple pics of my boats engine room.

Kinda ashamed it's this bad but I haven't had time to get into any serious cleaning on it since we leased it out this winter. There's rumors that I'll be redoing it next. Commin right along with the interior remodeling tho, getting ready to lay some floor tiles this week and start on some other stuff.

This is the paneling and new ceiling I put in, before and afters, this is just one room, there's a bunch of rooms..
