  • Got a new BP dd this past weekend

At Ohiostiva a few weeks back I purchased a B6D car from xaero_81. I did have a few cool plans for the car, buuuuuut. While at the meet I saw another car that I didn't realize was for sale until after I bought Donnie's. Anyway, long story short, I traded it for Shadetrees BP/G car. Evidently the blue car from Donnie had a little bit of special meaning to Rob. We each had something the other wanted.

He made the 5 hour drive up from WV to my house Sat morning. We talked Festiva over my new build car for a while then we got into the nitty gritty. We drove to the BMV, as we call it in Ohio, and made him legal to drive home before they closed. We went back home and worked out the deal. I got quite a few extra parts I was looking for and we both ended up happy. I am putting 90% of my efforts into the car in my garage and am hoping to have it done by mid December. That being said it was a no brainer for me to buy a car that was already done up. That way I can still do my sweet build AND have a nice BP car in the meantime.

Any way my plan is to swap all of the parts I was going to put into the B6D car onto this car. Much of it has already been done since he left Sat afternoon. I am putting all the new Rio front stuff and Aspire rear stuff I already have onto the car. Gonna hash out several little bugs that I think will make for a pretty nice and fun car to drive. I will then rebuild all the Rio and Aspire stuff currently on the car and stash it all away for future use. lol

The BP is REALLY CLEAN at 27,000 miles. Kinda making me wonder how it would look totally rebuilt (aka modded. lol) and stuffed into my Build car. Have to think about that one for a bit.

I will post a lot of pics as soon as I get it running really good. My buddy does a lot of 1/8 mile stuff so I might head up there with him a couple times just for fun.

Thanks Rob, It was a fun day for sure !!!
