Lol this thing just broke down in a probable cause of both the alternator giving up and the fuel pump acting up. The check engine light came on after it died. Don't have time to dick with it now but can anyone speculate whether the an alternator would bring it back to life or the check engine light makes bad news?

I thought it just got a new fuel pump? Alternator would cause tons of issues. My car runs differently when just battery is low.

It did but the pump is acting up. I posted about it on another post. I'm hoping that it could be a charging issue. I have 90% confirmed the alternator is dead short of pulling it and taking it to autozone. The car started up and ran fine just a minute ago when I had charged the battery overnight. I'm going g series here in a few weeks so if the alternator is confirmed dead when I take the engine out so it isn't hard to access, I'm going to buy that high output alternator I saw a link posted on here. Glad I didn't break anything SERIOUS.

Wow, looks good! You need the stock spoiler though. How was the window tint to apply? Did you end up with bubbles?

                Hope everything is going good.

I was flipping through your photobucket, and saw your rear seat is pretty knackered. I have a spare I'd let go for like $15, it isn't perfect but it's in decent shape, at least the back of it is still there. lol

Your car is making good progress.

I am on the fence right now of selling the B6 and the A/C setup I have, and buying a BP. Let the Festiva be the toy, and keep the Monte Carlo as the more comfortable long distance cruiser with a/c.

I'll be too lazy to do the G-series swap, just don't have the fab skills for that.

I would just try to fit a turbo on your b6. I really haven't done a bunch of fab, just welded some brackets I already had. Ill post my install video when I get my car done. Hopefully this G series is good fun. I cut my finger pretty good today working on it. :woc:

G series definitely eats some power vs the e series, but quite a bit stronger. And hwy rpms are higher depending on which 5 th gear

Then a sweet picture of my broken shift linkage as I banged into third on my second go. (somebody tacked the linkage but forgot to completely weld it after he got it in place)

My first run was an 18.7(eww yea its bad i know) because I was focusing pretty hard on a good reaction, I sorta dumped the clutch with no gas so i basically bounced a third of the way down the track.
then the second run was a 20 when I roll probably the last half in neutral because the shift linkage broke. It was a good time. Im glad the linkage broke on the track instead of on the way to madness.

I didn't get to look around much because of waiting in lines and fixing my car, but I caught more than a few people taking pictures and this one guy getting a good chuckle seeing my stereo(a 4 channel amp zip tied to the dash.

                            FUN DAY.
