Passenger seat it. Fit pretty good. Using stock belts. Basically I just cut the festy mounting points off the festy seats, then leveled the right and sides, and finally welded plates on top to drill holes to bolt the seat onto.

Welded a piece of the old festy track to top of the mount and it pretty much leveled out the seat:

It looks like it is bent a bit, but it was already like that.

So since last update I got the driver seat in, replaced my throttle body with a manual one, redid my intake in a slightly more professional manner, and took it for a spin. It was rougher than I thought it would be, but not as rough as it could have been. I just need to work out the extra noise in the suspension, and I'm going to try to insulate some because its loud with so much tire.

Its been another while, Its been running, today I started doing an amount of sanding trying to get the body ready for paint. I got quoted 370 for a nice 2 stage paint setup in the color I wanted, but that was way out of budget. Plus Im not going to spray $370 out of a 10 dollar gun. Went off to the rustoleum stuff in home depot. found a navy that was pretty darn close and found a metallic flake I can spray over the final coat of enamel so it will like more than a 40 dollar paint job. Im see good rusto paint jobs, just have to put it on thick then cut and buff it. It should turn out good, It can't look worst than it does right now. Also Have a g series I just need to get axles for it then Install it. Trying to get that done by the end of the month too but we will see what gets done and what doesn't.

Started a summer class to get my 240 card so ive been pretty busy between that and work. Hadnt had much time for festiva or updates. So since it got painted I cut and buffed it the day before ohiostiva and it was looking pretty good. (for rusto)

here is the difference pre and post buff, still some orange peel I could get rid of but good enough for me at the moment.

My rear wheel bearings took a dump and my wheel fell off right when I got home. Im glad it happened on my morning run to the store rather than on the road. Just yesterday, I finally got around to replacing both sides brakes drums and bearings. also, My friend and I put some cheap tint on the windows just for fun. this tint does not have any heat reduction attributes so it will not turn purple, It is purely aesthetic. It looks OK. not great, but i like it better than the fishbowl I was sitting in.

Still have yet to G series but I only need the XR2 axle and time. probably will not get done till august when my class is over. My friend is getting a stage 2 tune on his gti sometime in the near future. My plan was do a dirt cheap turbo setup and run LOW boost but im really considering spending a good amount of money so I can run 15-20lbs of boost to put him in his place.

Installed a walbro 255 today and put a dish at the bottom of my fuel tank to I can now zoom around corners. Also put a rad wood floor in the trunk.
