I was thinking maybe cut the second pulley off, but then I have to worry about it being balanced. I definitely dont want to harm this car at all due to how great the body is.

Most people clearance the frame rail with a mallet. Take your time though. That car is in such good shape that it would suck to damage it.

Another progress check and need some ideas. I have read about cutting a hole for the pulley or something about swapping a pulley for the crankshaft.IMG_20151009_200240.jpgIMG_20151009_200226.jpgIMG_20151009_200255.jpg

Last time i did mine the c-clip that holds it in had somehow bent up a bit. Took me with a big slidehammer and a chain wrapped around it and another guy with a big air chisel and large prybars and mallets about 2 hours just to pop the one out. Changing the cv shafts and seals took me like 5 hours that day. It sucked. The other one popped out right away b

Progress check. Rear main seal replaced and transferring some b3 parts onto the b8. Also tearing apart the festiva. Anyone know an easy way to pop the CV axles out? Mine are really well put in there. Last time I pulled CV axles I used a pry bar.IMG_20151008_193708.jpg

Well a turbo is farther down the line. The engine is hopefully going to be in this weekend.

How much pressure to you plan to let your turbo make? I think that unless your going to do a lot of beefing up of the internals you might be underutilizing a t3/t4. Our experience with the 1.6L and an external wastegate is that we didnt build any boost untill over 3k rpm and nothing significant until about 4k rpm. Not enough exhaust. Around 4000 it spiked up. However we did have an external wastegate and the max boost we wanted was 7or 8psi because we had no fuel management. So basically as soon as that turbo started making boost it was at our max. A t3/t3 would have given us much more useful power. The reason we got the t3/t4 was because we didn't want it spooling and wasting gas while we were just cruising around, but we were really young when we started this and didn't understand it too well. It may work perfect for you depending on what you want to do with it, thats just how it went for us. I think the t3/t4 is meant more for 3.0-4.0 litre motors if i remember correctly.
Anyway, when are you hoping to have this engine in and driving around by?

Sorry, was referring to the BP swap: that has a 4-wire plug. Lol, this is getting too confusing.

Ok. That extra wiring doesn't sound too difficult. Huh, 7hp is a lot of variation for the same engine... The wikipedia thing you linked said it was 129 i thought, but ya. Strange.

Sticking to the e series. But when I turbo it I will probably be getting a beefier one

    Meepersly's 88 festiva build.

Eurotiva had this setup it did 165hp on the dyno. What trans are you using? T3/t3 would be best imo.

O well, sorry to be confusing.

I grabbed the injector harness though because it looks the same and the temp sensor is in a different location on that.
