Im looking forward to the b6. I plan to bump the compression a bit. Maybe it'll be close to b8me levels

So update on the 88 festiva. It is running good and drove it for a while. I found a b8-ME that is in better condition than my current one so I'm swapping them. I picked up some 13 inch wheels on eBay that I'm going to sand and paint and put them on it. Hopefully I will be lowering the car soon.

    These are the wheels.

oh geeze I dont think I put any photos of the engine bay yet as it is now.

https://goo.gl/photos/Zm1jgN67XG1N3JMQ6 (needed more space didn't have cone filter adapter)
    https://goo.gl/photos/ge8hN93tQr4Rj3ND8 (shiny new cv axle)
https://goo.gl/photos/AprwCuDVMvDNwHPX9 (whoah! this thing has never gone this fast!)

Sorry about some of the photos being blurry. I was so excited my hands were trembling when I was taking the photos.

ok new update on the car. Water pump is probably going. Its fine should have replaced that when I was doing the swap it will be fixed soon. Couldn't help but notice though I am getting around 20 mpg is that common on the b8? Could it have something to do with the fact there is just the manifold and a pipe that reaches back and no whole exhaust system? I am definitely loving the huge power gain in this engine.

Two new CV axles later and all is well.... For now. Now I'm curious what would be an easy tranny swap? That poor festiva clutch doesn't seem to like getting grip in 5th gear with a strong headwind. Either that or I am expecting too much of my 1.8.

Strange because its the stock tranny and the mounts are still in place.

Shoot CV popped out of the joint that goes into to wheel hub. Its still in the boot but it came out enough to not go forward. I assume when I replaced the CV boot I didn't push the shaft into the joint bearing bit enough.
