Drums are finally done! Night shift did it and i let them wait for the new guy to do them. They had another guy walk him through it tho. I didn't have to do it myself so thats nice. The holes should be dead on! They used a dial indicator on the spindle to get the drums located dead center then used the digital readout to hit 100mm.

I am picking up the new festy after work. Once home i will rebuild the rear end on the grey car. Gonna add some washers under the spindles for now to get some NEG camber until the switch over to the new car. I will then use some camber plates to do it right. Also next week i will have it in the shop for an alignment.

I have to finish up a car thats in the garage now. The wifes car needs to be finished and then i can jump into the festiva motot transplant full tilt. I hope i can start on the festy in 2-3 weeks at the latest.

Great news! The rear spindles shimming is kind of tedious. Just keep messing with it until you get zero toe with the camber you want.

Front caliper just locked up on me. Good thing i was 1/2 mile from my drive. I have 2 new calipers on order. Will have them on tomorrow. Front end alignment got pushed back to Thursday. 53$ each means its about the most expensive thing i have on my car now!. I guess the good side is that now i will have all new brakes front and rear (soft hose to pads in front and everything but springs in the rear).

So ready for more power now! This slow build is killing me...

Better a slow build sometimes than a fast one where mistakes can cost ya.

That is true. It would be nice if the new calipers help cut down on some of the vibs i get. The only thing left is the front end alignment!

The 03 kia rio brake calipers were 52.9$9 each with a 40$ core charge! So that wasn't fun. Now my front swap is 100% new aside from the knuckles. I need to bleed the system a bit more tho. Will need to bleed the spliter valve and shes done.

sometimes the hose collapse and causes the caliper not to release....
