I am torn.... I cannot decide if i should get my wheels and tires. Somewhere in the ball park of $600 after mounting and balancing.

Or if i should order my suspension parts.

Whisle has been really squirlly in the high speed curves around town lately. So idealy i need whats going to be best for around town touring...i mean driving.

Id like to hear mikes opinion as you went from running 12s to 15s to suspension with 12s and now going back to 14s with suspension.

As well as what you think charlie.

I feel like i should definatly order the suspension but im a wheel slut.

That's a hard call. The 12" wheels and tires are scary, and a good 14" combo really improves the car drastically. I've never run on 12's with the coilovers, so Mike is going to have better input on that.

Those will help a lot. Wheels and tires make a huge difference. It feels like a brake upgrade, a suspension upgrade and an engine upgrade all at once. Those 12's squirm around a lot.

The 165 55 14 Achilles tires are actually not bigger than stock, they are slightly smaller. They are a little wider, but the sidewalls don't flex as much so they actually roll better than the 12" wheels.
Also, Discount Tire may not be able to get the Achilles tires.

I got the newer rear struts swapped out and the car has no wobbles at 54mph now and Ilong sweeping curves are so much better.

Im having a bad wobble from my rear end and i can not figure it out.

I just replaced my rear struts with kyb and stiffer springs
Just did all 4 bearings in the rear drums
                              Brand new tires
Still wobble as hell at a slow speed like my rear end is swaying

Any ideas? I can raise and lower the rear now....definatly gonna get charlies suspension after the way this cheap spring rides

When you grab the tires and shake hard can you you feel any play in any direction? On the ground and off? On the ground If you try and shove the tires front to back real hard with your foot do they move? Rear axle is not loose on the frame? Check rim runout on the car after that. Could be a bent axle maybe.
