  • G-Series Primary and secondary shaft bearing ???

I am looking for the 2 bearings on the 5th gear end of the gear shafts. The ones I keep getting are too big in inner diameter for the shaft. I have every other bearing and seal to get this thing back together. PLEASE HELP!!!!

These are the numbers I need. LM78349S1 and LM78310A

The first number is the bearing and the 2nd is the outer race. I have the race. My guess is that they are missing the S1 in the part number cause every time I get one the S1 is missing on the bearing. But it is on the bearing that came off the shaft. The inner race of the bearing is a whole lot smaller on the one I need compared to the one I keep getting. WTF!!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Youre looking for bearings on the end of input and counter shaft?

Seems most bearings are matted with their race too... Seems odd.

exactly. This bearing is offered with different outer races and the S1 I am guessing refers to the inner race diameter. My bearing shop doesn't know what else to do.

Are the originals that terrible? Can't just shim the slop? Or they pitted? Or you just doing a perfection assembly and since it has 80% new bearings, you need the other 20%?

Like people that get a nail in a decent set of 4 tires, and instead of fixing the one with the injury, they buy a new $1200 set.

I have so many $100 awesome sets of tires because of money bag people like that.

Have you asked ferdi? Or mfactory? I know mfactory said they where making rebuild kits? Maybe look a different g series. I believe the 626/v6 probe had g series. I know there different bell housing but I'm pretty sure the gears and internals are the same except ratios.

I think I found a line on a set. The supplier said that is kind of common with very specific bearings only found in oddball situations. They need to be ordered in a complete set. when that is done it usually comes in the oddball variety. Or something like that is how I understand it. lol I will know in a few days I guess.

i missed this post or ida tried to help earlier. is this the gear train with the 5th final driven gear? if so, they still show bearings/races available from mazda for the 2WD 323 turbo trans (G). also, green sales has numerous oem capri turbo gear train bearings in stock. i'll post a pic soon an let me know what ones you need.
