I painted all the walls in my workshop white. I don't bother painting selves/ work benches in the workshop since I find latex to be to sticky and enamel to be to slick. Also, I would rather be doing something else than painting workbenches. My other garage is all dry-walled and painted slightly off white with the shelves stained red with left over deck stain (it was that way when I bought the house). I added a couple tire racks and shelves that I did take the time to stain red just so everything would match.
