Do your research and you will find a decorated history with race cars running the 215.
With the b3 there was just a thing a few years back with a guy who said he was building one, stuff got sour on the forum and i was just poking at that a bit.

I wasnt saying anything bad about the 215! i just cant see any rear wheel drive festiva beating a well set up fwd festiva around a tighter track.
I can see a high hp awd festiva beating a front wheel drive but i dont believe anyone who has started on that ever completed their build.
However from what i understand no one has really spent r&d, time and money to set up a rwd festi for the track. Best bet so far would maybe be the shogun but i think the ones that have been made so far are mostly either showcars or 1/4 mile cars or incomplete.

      450 - 500 kg? So 990 - 1100 pounds? Even a WA is ~1800 lbs, and a WB is heavier of course.

Would just like to add that the engine is not a V6, V8 or rotary. I believe its the biggest capacity engine i can fit between the chassis rails and still keep it FWD.

He? (Could be female), states that the stock configuration of the engine makes 170kW = 227hp ish, and factory turbo. This should help narrow it down.

It does, but knowing what continent would help a lot too. Im not up with what goes down down under... or in europe really either.

                        Hmmm.
                        -Factory turbo,
-Not V8, or V6 or Dorito
                        -approximately 227hp
                        -FWD configuration
-fits between the festiva frame rails (barely)
-never been done, or even thought of on the forum.
-capable of 800hp with some work.
-Probably not Ford or Mazda due to the "oil and water" comment.

My best guess is a 4G63T.

Been discussed over and over and there is no 227hp variant that I'm aware of that's not V6. Also, when has anyone ever squeezed 800hp from a 4 cylinder VW TDI?
