  • The Last Frontiva!

For those of you that know me, I recently moved to Alaska and I have been searching for a Festiva to build. I came across a white carb car and I want to introduce the beginning of the build here.

Nice rims! But you may want to take the grease off the tires. If you take a corner fast and the sidewalls roll a bit youll slide right off the road! [emoji50]
      Just kidding, looks great!

It's Alaska. Light bars are needed in the winter, but it'll look better on my Jeep (actual winter vehicle).

Here is the progress I made today.
Hacked away at it. But it will be fine. I promise.

I mainly meant the Placement. Just makes me wonder if the Grill was already broken so the inserted a Lightbar or if the offset it on purpose?

Hope the bodywork turns out, wasnt that bad on the wheel wells though! Im impressed. For rust prevention i used a product called fluid film and sprayed it under the car and inside all the panels and wheel wells. Its supposed to work very well and its cheap.
Not sure if you are on the facebook group, have you seen the info john glenn has posted there about getting the most light you can? If not and if your interested i can see if i can find back what i have saved of it. He has a very good light setup.

Yes, the grill was damaged and he used the lightbar to fill it. I have not seen Johns post, but I am on the facebook group (Nicholas Andrew).

Picked up a Miata 1.8L. I have a EFI parts car. Running the 4 speed with great caution until i can find something stronger.

Probabaly going to race it on the ice track with some sweet studded tires. AD suspension.

I searched for it on facebook but couldnt find it back. Voltage drop to the headlights causing dim bulbs is a problem with the festiva. He talked a bit about it here. https://fordfestiva.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61083
Here is a couple screenshots i took of the facebook post,

Ive only watched ice racing once but it looked like a ton of fun. Have you done it before?
There were only 2 festivas out that day but jed's b6t with bolted tires just flew around that track faster than anything else was great to watch.

Thanks for that man. The sun doesnt come up much in the winter (here in Alaska). So almost every car has a lightbar. I appreciate the help.
