The bucket, progress thread

Finally picked up the bucket from my buddys house, and got it home.

First thing i did was paint the grill. I used universal silver from duplicolor, because they were out of ford silver. I also used their clear, its dull but can be lightly buffed fpr a little more shine.

Its actually pretty close, after i buff the car it'll all blend in together good enough for what it is.
Tonight, i pulled the fender off and decided to clean the rest of the car too. Got all that mold off!! Looks so much better!!

So, heres the fender. It actually came out alot better than the grill did! I did the grill in direct sunlight in the middle of the day so it probably cooked the paint a bit. Also this is after 3 coats of clear.

So, next up is wheel bearing and shifter and door. Then im gonna drive it while i accumulate parts for the b6d"t" build. Also picking up an e153 next month from a buddy whos all into mr2s.

Whats up guys, almost no progress with the car. Been settling in to the new house and job.

On the 7th ill be picking up the gtx rep bumper and lip and the b6d. Also might grab a wing and kia pride grill/head light combo from him. I decided that im gonna go carby for a while with the b6d and i ordered 4 new keihin 38mm pwk carbs and matching uni filters. Should be a fun little car

3 of the 4 carbs showed up today and all 4 of the filters got here.

Interested to see how those dirt bike carbs work out.
Any ideas on how your gunna pull the 4 throttles at once?
And do you think they will supply enough cfm for a 1600 engine ?
Looking good so far keep it up!

Cb750 k0 had a 4 into 1 throttle cable. So each cable is adjustable on its own. Ill be able to synchronize it just like bike. I think they will, they're a little too much on a 400 4 stroke so i think they will leave me room to grow. And im pretty sure that the cable choke set up will be able to use the same style cable, if i even need it

Carby 4 showed up today. Ok so imagine them setting over top of the engine like this. They are going to be all kinds of loud!

Also looking at cams maybe in a few months for it.

One thing I will never miss is synchronizing 4 carbs. I had my share of Cb 750's, KZ 900's and 1000's, even had a '72 T 500 Titan (only 2 carbs obviously) Now that I've matured a bit it's old Beemers and Ducati's with only 2 carbs.....Good luck and let us know how it works.

When your bike should have a valve adjustment every other oil change, it definitely comes in handy knowing your way around a set of these.

Whats the axle nut size? 88 1.3 4 speed. Dont wanna bring home multiple sockets that i dont need.

It can be anything from 27-30mm depending on if it has aftermarket axles or not
