Grenaded my tranny at the autocross

Blammo, 100 yards of gear oil down the track..

I need a 5 speed ya'll..

anyone with a cheap one wanna ship it out to me???


My season is over in one region, but I'd like to get the car fixed pretty quickly anyway.


PS, it takes 10 people over an hour to clean the full contents of a transmission off of an autocross track... :shock:

Haha - that sucks man... Stock Festiva tranny? Maybe I nee to get my G25 in before next year so that I don't have this problem too!

The g25mr's are also notoriously weak but alot tougher than the f series festiva tranny's.

Yeah, it's stock, it held up through over 100 hard launches, not to mention how hard I drive it on the street.. another stock tranny will be fine for now.

Anyone know of a cheap one?

I threw out a word for you in the forsale section earlier, somebody is selling two 5 speeds right now for 75 each.

Damn!!! I drive mine extremely hard, but no problems... Hmmmm maybe I have a freakish tranny? Goodluck getting a replacement! -Kyle

Yeah, I was a bit worried, I think my tranny mounts were getting loose, and it was moving around... I should have tightened it up.. I was also getting wheel hop on this course... it didn't feel right, and I pushed it anyway..

It's OK, about 100 runs this year, on 8" slicks... with 100 HP pouring though it... it was bound to happen...

I'll fix it...
