  • BP Time?

One year or so before, the swap everyone was doing was the B6T now the more I read in this forum the more people goes with the BP. The B6t in the Festiva was doing about 13-14 on the žmile.

My question is does any BP (Turbo or not) Festiva as a žmile time yet?
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

    ...

Probably not quite as fast as the B6T probably a low 14 or so... But the BPT w/the other tranny (Capri, GT) might be able to throw some times around 12's... Just my .02.. -Kyle

                      disappointed.

Ran my BP festi for the first time last weekend, ran a 15.399 at 91.32 mph, 15.420 at 86.43 (let off so i wouldnt break out), and 15.274 at 89.56 mph...Yes I am a little dissapointed, but when I was doing the swap I forgot that the air is alot thinner up here and adds about 1.5 secs compared to PA and all that. New tranny, and turbo going on before the 20th of may. Also it is hard to get a decent time with the stock tranny and clutch, would recommened the auto tranny or a spec clutch. my clutch holds up for hella good burn outs but does not hold up for fast shifting. IF you use the stock tranny get the spec clutch and launch it in second gear... would be alot better. If I try to launch it in 1st at 2500rpm's it just roasts the tires through first and part of second gear.

If you take a bp or b6t festiva to the strip, prepare for ALOT of attention, I was getting more then the guy with a Twin turbo v8 sonoma...LOL

I had my bp/auto festy running late summe of 2003 and I would of said 14.8ish- 15.3ish with just compareing to cars I raced. bran new thunderbird on the highway from about 100-200km's and was pretty even I was ever so slowly pullin. a 89 mustang gt from a role I walked away it was auto thought could never take a 5.0L that was standard.
