  • The DM Festy LIVES!!! (plus my boy runs a KART)

First, here is the Boy.. (13) he got his first Autocross run in a Formula Junior Kart today.. first autocross ever for him..

He did pretty good, he was alone in his class, but we have BIG, LONG, FAST courses, (usually 50-60 seconds) and he did GREAT! Never got lost once, and only on DNF, when the Kart died...

here is a little video of him in the Showcase turn, to give you an idea of the Kart's speed.

It's a Formula Junior, and has to be a 5hp Briggs (even though this one is over 18 horse...lol) This one runs on Alcohol... slow off the line, but killer top end!!

    Here is the Vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is8rUtOMUgg

I co-drove the Festy with a bud of mine, he weighs 200 pounds less than I do... LOL.. but I still got him by about a half a second, once the dust cleared...

Here is a vid of one of his runs... (yes, the Phantom Grip IS starting to help a bit, and both tires are spinning here)

Funny looking little car.. but a LOAD of fun!!!

Have had 6 Festys... and counting...

Well, that is a Modded Mach one running E-Street Prepared, and driven by the National Champion, I think 3 years running... lol.

She ran a 51.5, and I ran a 55.4 BUT, the 16 year old Phenom drove my car in the Fun Runs after the event, same course... and and ran a 51.9 on corded tires... LOL... SO... it will run close to it. Her husband only ran a 53.5 in the Mach... so... it would have beat one driver, and gotten edged out by the second.

Going quickly in a slow car is more fun than going fast in a fast car, cause anyone can go fast in a fast car, but you take a car that is essentially not that powerful, and make it do things that its not supposed to be able to do, well that's where the real fun is. - Jay Leno

^^...I don't think so.....especially the way it is worded...Ijust think he made a mistake on her age. He mentions the phenom champ 3 years running drove his car and her husband drove the Mach.

No, I am sorry, I made a syntax mistake.

The 16 year old Phenom is a completely different driver... a boy named Tom O'Gorman, and he has driven some of the fastest cars in Cincy (SCCA) and ALWAYS beats the time of the owner... ALWAYS... he is just amazing..

Sorry, I forgot that I hadn't explained who he was.

Crissy Weaver is the National Champ in that Mach... she is 30 something... (and hot)

As far as the 57 John Deere Gator.... LOFL... that is MY car... driven by my co-driver, and that is his sense of humour about my car... LOL...
