  • Ran a 13.82@104mph

Factory tranny and swift gti clutch has lasted a dozen high 13 passes. Any bets on how many more it will take!? Maybe some slicks will kill it1

Im up in vancouver canada. Sasquatch has seen the car run a handfull of low 14s and a couple high 13s. Im useless at attatching anything....sorry guys. Sasquatch will have to vouch for me.
As per my set up: its an escort bp with a 16g and modified ebay miata exhaust manifold. Im fuelling it with talon 450cc injectors and an old safc2. No timing control....just pulled out 8 degrees for now! Not the best way to do it(high egts, low mid power) but im trying to get the car into the 12s for less than 2200.00 including the price of the car.
It'll go 12s if i can get the damn thing to leave straight and not try and cross the center line!!
Coilovers and some trailing arm traction bars should help that.
I think im going to put a water/meth kit in it which should allow me to throw some more timing at it. If that doesnt work maybe an megasquirt or aem fic.

I'm surprised the stock trans holds up that well!! i'd be surprised if you get the car into the 12's on the stock trans

                Either way, Good luck!!!

An Escort Gt (G series) tranny with the Capri xr2 axles will take care of those launches or so I have read. I get that torque steer with my little b6. The xr2 jackshaft takes care of that problem. If you put some slicks on then you will get a head start at your trans swap. LOL!
                  BTW Welcome!!!

Nice setup. i just found that manifold on ebay last week and wish i found it before i made mine. its the only non-top mount i have found for the bp that is cheap.

Nice run how much boost are you running? That is one monster intercooler you have (I thought mine was big). Good luck with it. I hope to break into the 13's on the 16th at Z-max.

The wheels are xxr 007s if I remember correctly. They are 15x8 and require huge fender caressing with a sledge hammer. Common fitment is on vw golfs and old school civics.
I like the euro look so 15x8s were ok for me.

Launched 3rd gear 2 days ago so put my spare aspire tranny in........I sure like those steep gears. The car is an animal. With my drag radials and gears this friday I may be able to make one good pass before the tranny exits from the bottom!!!!!!

                              upped the anti to 13.77@104mph

That aspire tranny got me a 13.77@104mph. Now lets see what the gtr ecu and some more boost get me. Other than a huge hole in the transmission
