You need some driving skill. Driving/racing a small underpowered car is about maintaining momentum. Its a light car lighten it more, find things to remove/ lighten. The lotus motto is add lightness. You said most of the cars there just plow through the corners, then make your car handle better.

Youtube circle track festiva. A guy in PA circle tracks it & gets podiums from time to time.

I'm kinda coming down on you cause the 4cyl cars around here there is lot of the bending of rules going on. Probes are specificaly banned for their power advantage. The leaders are all jy sponsored cars.

Just enjoy racing the 4cyl hornet class is a feeder program for the more powerful cars.
Weight is a big thing, especially on a low powered car. I've always heard, "cut the ounces and the pounds will come." Even little things like cutting out unused seat and/or seatbelt mounts will count in little way.

If anyone can help you, these guys can!
Not to speak for jaybels, but I believe he is referring to Kentucky Motor Speedway (KMS). Come on over and see us sometime at KMS, the track is back open under a new promoter and the racing is great. Every Sunday night, the green flies at 5:30. Oh, and I'll be in Henderson tomorrow (we ain't got a Golden Corral here in the OWB.)

With powdercoated springs? I just don't see that happening myself.
