yeah i know how it goes my ef hatch hit some coolant at the top end of the track at about 130 and met the wall in the left front i was ok thanks to the cage but the whole left front of the car was GONE so i pulled out the motor and trans and turbo setup and want to try again this time going even more hard core possibly running the car on alcohol so i can run much shorter charge pipe and ramp up the timing and make even more power. One question is how were you going to deal with the rear trans mount? I was going to brace the firewall above the heatercore inlet/outlet and bolt it to the firewall then brace the backside to the dash bar of the cage. That or tie the frame rails together and put a plate for mounting? The mounts will be Avid Racing solid mounts left over from the civic and i am looking at making custom mount perches for the frame rails and all the stock mounts off. Idk any input would be awesome

Thanks to the wonderful world of Honda parts, I was just going to use a rear trans mount from a 88-91 crx. It gives you a flat mounting surface with 3 bolt holes. I was going to weld a crossbar between the rails and make a triangular connection between the crossbar and the firewall. Then attach my mount to that. I was worried about the flex the firewall might have with all the power I'd be putting down. And You'll have shifting problems if the trans mount flexes, as I'm sure you know.

all rear honda mounts are flat with 3 bolts are you saying you were going to run a d series cable trans that doesnt use a T bracket? I think i might just tie the frame rails together and bolt the solid mount to that. or I suppose i could get even more creative. I will also have a rod on the front of the motor anchoring it to the tractionbars. once bolted in this motor is not going anyware lol I hate wheel hop and with the money I am going to be dishing out for axles I dont want to risk breaking them over something stupid

id rock a set of traction bars every day if they made them for festivas.
its not that hard to fit decent sized tires. you just gotta get creative

Oh yeah I was using the cable trans so I wouldn't have to do a hydro conversion on the clutch.

i like how the WG sticks out the grill lol... its one BA car!!

low boost (5psi) on my 91 ford festiva bp swapped with a garret t28 turbo. still running the stock tranny, hence the slow shifting.
