  • Was Curious about the 1.3L and N20

Has anyone run a 1.3 with n20 ? what would be an approximate 1/4 mile time ?

  • #2
How big of a shot would you be running? I think there has been people who have ran nitrous on the B3 but I can't remember what their times were

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Joe Dirt ran a 10.23 in the 1/8th mile with a 30 shot with a stock B3 and stock 12 inch tires. That is about a 16.00 in the 1/4.

I think my lil b3 would scatter all over the track. My speedo went out @ 236,000 miles. That was a year ago. I should be around 275,000

what is n-twenty? Oh, you mean n2O.. with the letter "O" not a zero... makes a little more sense when its abbreviated correctly

I don't think it would be too hard to blow up a stock 1.3 motor with a 50 shot.

I apologize for my incorrect abbreviation. I know its N2O but my finger always goes to the zero instead...( I blame it on the ricer in me ) You dont think a properly jetted N2O shot could be safely used? even in combination with a wide band O2 sensor?

nitrous is thought to be the culpret for blowing up engines, if its a correctly injected shot with enough fuel to compensale than it will be safe. i did alot of nitrous on 4 wheelers (dave moore racing) and 3 of the polaris 3 cylinders i dynoed with a 120 shot on meth, u just have to shove fuel with it to be safe, lean = boom!

^^^ never said that it couldn't be done safely if done correctly, was just noting that it would not be hard to break one. If the proper care is taken I'm sure it possible.

Yes it can be done safely, on our drag bikes, our formula was 1 to 4 one part nitrous and four parts fuel also don't forget to retard the timing, or you could use a Nitrous Express comand center, all automated from the trans button. Nitrous is friendly but don't think all you need is a juice bottle and hit the track. Good luck and have fun.
