  • Festiva shooting for the 9s

I'v been dragracing for 11 years.
    I stuffed a 468 BBC in a 1988 S-10 with a S&W back half.
Just sold my 9sec 5 speed mustang. Now its time for a new project.

So I just picked up a 1993 Festiva.
So the plan is a stroked SBF or a 2.3 with a turbo or super charger.
Going to run a 8.8 rear with ladder bars & probably a liberty trans. 28x10.5 rear tire.

This weekend we will start to disassemble, let the fun begin.

Welcome! Make sure to post plenty of pics as the build progresses.....or suffer the consequences!
Also, on a personal note, please stick with Ford power and don't decide to switch to an LSx, LOL.

Sorry to sound skeptical, but there's been lots of newbies with big plans and I've yet to see any of the major projects followed through with..... I honestly hope you do it since it'd be sick to see, but I don't have my hopes up either ( no offense intended)

            1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
            1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

citizen - i have no doubts that you know what your doing with building custom cars, i'm just waiting to finally see someone follow through with big claims..... typically newbs on the site posts claims and never follow through with them, but if you do start a build, please start a thread in the garage section to post your progress, i'd love to see your work

Your going to need some MAD fab skills to do that.

I'm a mechanical design engineer. I'll have everything designed in 3d.
I'll cut the parts & tubing on our lasers. I work in a metal Fab shop. The only thing I can't do is paint.

Thanks for helping me decide where to post it.

I would love to see a 4 valve Modular transplant. Especially with aluminum block and forced induction.
