Did a grass autotest the other day over here in blighty. The Kia took FTD (Fastest Time of the Day). That's an outright win.
What we do over here is to split the cars into classes - front engine FWD - front engine RWD etc, so you're competing on a sort of like for like basis, but whoever records the overall fastest time, regardless of class, takes the top award.
The Caterham entrants weren't too pleased, but to be fair to them we had a heavy rain shower about halfway through the event and a Caterham on fat tyres on wet grass aint going anywhere fast.
It was written up in the local club magazine where the Kia was described as 'a very ordinary car'. I'm going to get that sign-written across the tailgate.
