my Z28 ran low 11's on the bottle and watching low 11 sec cars on the tracked looked okay but on tv or video my Z28 looked slow.93 festiva

Yes and the ones I have seen have been sub 13 second cars... 1 was a 70's muscle car with a blown smallblock running on alcohol and the other was a stingray corvette with a 600+ cubic inch big block w/nitrous... Another was a Camaro vs. a foxbody Mustang... They were also sub 13's... FYI -KyleCosmic Blue 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 - Mostly Stock...

i don't think it would be hard to get a festy into the 11 second range. looking at mex's car and fred's car they ran open differentials on pump gas and got into low 13's high 12's. Now say you strip out the festy completely, weld up a differential so you essentially have a solid axle, get some wide ass slicks and run a xylene mix to turn the boost up to 18 psi. But then again who wants to go through all that trouble.Ian Carr

if you watch drag racing on TV you know that something happening like a blower belt breaking could cost you the race. example one Friend lost a race because a radiator hose clamp was loose and the hose came off. another example was a friend of mine got a flat tire when ran over a screw and lost the race and this was at the track.Comment
