Fresh Squeezed with a broken thumb!
Congrats to you both! Don has forgotten to mention that his team finished fifth! Awesome! I look forward to joining in the fun soon! Now, post some photos of the Festiva (and the Miata too) on the track. Throw a few up on the road racing thread too so they will be together with some of the others.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

We were so worried about keeping the car out on the track (and keeping ourselves awake) that we didn't take any pics of the car in action! Don got a few that he sent to me so I will upload them here shortly.
I am still amazed at how well this car handled with as few suspension mods we did to it. I watched your videos and I see that yours does very well too!1981 242 - Inge - Volvo. for life
2010 Edge - Vladimir - Ford. for the wife
2011 Focus SE - Noomi - Ford. for economy, comfort and dependability
And now...

Here is a pic of us as we came out of tech. As the car was built in S Korea, we figured it would only be right to be a Korean BBQ delivery car! The backlit sign on the roof made it very easy to spot where we were on the track at night.
And here is a great pic of us on the track. I love that there is a pic of a Porsche in there with us and it looks like we are ahead of them! If you look close in the background, you can see the Escort GT team that let us borrow a spare oil drain plug after ours went astray on the track somewhere, thanks!! (wonder if they need that back....they left so quickly!)

This is awesome. 24 hours of hard driving in the car we watched you build on this forum. That is the same car right?

If you look closely, you will see that "Deliver" is marked out on our sign and was replaced with "Race". Our driver went rogue and ate your Chow on Broccoli....so sorry. You can call the boss if you like...817-284-7847. Let me know how that works out for you! Careful though...he gets kind of loud... ;-)
That is the same car alright!! There is a video somewhere of me kissing the hood of the car as it came off the track after the checkered flag. I was proud of that little aqua speck after all of that abuse!!1981 242 - Inge - Volvo. for life
