How are these related? You know that humans are capable of obeying more than 1 law at the same time, right?

They are both equally dumb. If you had started a Texting and Driving thread, I would have voiced my concerns there as well.

How about this: don't text and drive, and don't street race. Seems pretty simple to me...
It 's not about whether I should or not it's about the extreme stand against it compared to many other illegal activities.

Common sense is always called for. We used to go out17/92 between deland and daytona beach, with cb's. Straight and flat for miles and empty after midnight. Spotters with cb's , measured out quarter, look out for cops.... safe enough!

Well I disagree. They are putting innocent peoples lives at risk and should be stopped at any cost. If they get caught first, sent to jail, and have their cars impounded, that would make me happy too. With a crash though, they'd at least know how all the innocent victims of street racing feel.

Whether you think anyone else is around or not, you never know. It is irresponsible and childish. Imo, or course.

How about races with no traffic? Dont even start with that. More deaths occur from being on the phone or texting and all you get is a ticket. Why dont you start a hate parade against all the 17 year old girls that text and drive? They won't even deny they text while driving, they will actually boast about it. Ask me how I know.

Actually I prefer tripling the speed limit in school zones.........

When I said common sense, I meant just that, heavy acceleration to the speed limit is perfectly fine by me

I love how you got in on the race with those mustangs, it's fun to line up behind a couple of cars you know are going to race and then blow by them both (on this super realistic video game I have) with a Festiva. Nice!
    Don't lie, I know for a fact you're running Microsoft Festiva Simulator 2012 v1.6!

There's a road north of Walhalla (SC 107) known as the 107 Dragway. You have to drive through some curvy mountain road area to get there, but the straightaway you find is slightly inclined and just over 1/4 mile long with banks on either side and far away from any houses who might complain. Until recently, kids would race their cars there (the police would come watch) but since it's too far to have proper EMT response, they killed it off. You can still see the paint lines and a few tire marks up there.
