Tires should give first and then clutch slippage should occur before anything snaps. This is pretty common theory, I spend a decent amount of time dealing with this concept on cars with a tad bigger tires lol. JT will get this dialed in, I have faith. Were exactly did it snap?
Tires should be the weakest link in a properly designed system.
All depends on which school of thought you subscribe to. But considering the amount of damage a rapidly moving shaft can do when let loose upon one's undercarriage (not trying to continue the 'shaft' innuendo here... oh who am I kidding yes I am) and the fact that most of the fastest and most advanced racing disciplines agree that tires should be the weakest link, I'm going with that one.
