Well, I have a 1988 Ford Festiva I successfully swapped a V-6 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo J motor and converted it to AWD. I run low 8's in the quarter mile and I haven't been beat yet. Quick little car."

Now that I think about that, isnt that EVOGUN's festiva? I forget what he put in that, im guessing its a evo motor, but I don't know if Mitsu, and Toyota are parent companies or not?

And for the straight six to be put in the engine bay, the trans would be almost under the driver. Then the next problem is finding a trans to hook up to the 1JZ or 7MGE engine. Then the AWD part. UMMM if the trans is inside the passenger compartment then the front axles would be way outta whack, going 2ft on 45* angle from trans to hub.

The SR20det is a transversely mounted motor. The 1JZ and the 7MGE are both longintudal. Not impossible but damn near. RWD much more reasonable. But why cut up a supra for a festiva. I love festiva's but still....

yes they are inline 6, the same engine was later put into the Lexus is300 in a non turbo form, same engine though.

I used to doubt fastiva stories. Then the kid that showed up to the track just to watch with a barely running '88, was seen about a year later blowing the doors off of mustangs with a B6T.
