Should we do a 1/8th Mile Competition instead since some people don't have a 1/4 Mile track close to them? It makes sense because you get both times when you race at a 1/4 Mile Track and may get more people involved.

The nearest 1/4 mile is over an hour away, but there is an 1/8 mile track nearby. I'll have to see what their schedule looks like, I think they close for winter.

Are we talking NA? Or is forced induction OK? Or split into 2 classes?

From the Discussion I have had with a few people so far we will probably end up splitting classes. Definitely going to be a 1/8th mile so that it gives everyone a better chance to participate.

Coming up with a few extra rules before the end of the year so we can have it set in stone. Thinking about doing a 3-5 person panel just in case something weird comes up that we didn't think to write a rule about. Looking into what we can do for prizes and what not winners, StivaStickers.com said they would help with some prizes and I can probably put together some small cash prizes or some of the kinda rare Festiva Parts.

As of right now the rules list goes as follows.

                    1. Engine can be modified but you must retain the B3 Block.
                    2. No tire restrictions.
                    3. Proof Must Be Provided in the Form of a Time Slip with matching Car Number pictures.
                    4. Must Provide List of Performance Modifications
                    5. Don't cut up a Car just for the Race - Doors and some sort of Windows must be on. (Exceptions may be made for trucks - Not Decided)
                    6. Only One Engine driving the wheels allowed.
                    7. No Trans limitations
                    8. No Engine Management Limitations
                    9. No Budget
                    10. Be Cool About It - Don't Be an A-Hole - Be Safe - Share your knowledge - etc

...And - How about a consolation prize to the SLOWEST 1.3L also with the same rules applied? =)

My son recently traded a TV for an 88 Carby Festiva that would be in contention there! It's beat to death but we're having a great time fixing it up and making it road worthy.

I'm sure we could put something together. They are fun little cars to work on and makes learning the basics of mechanics cheap and easy.

I will be listing the new guidelines soon on a new post.
