  • First Auto-X

I attended my very first autocross event on Saturday. I managed to place about 98/115. I think that's pretty good considering the other cars:

    BP powered 91 Festiva L
-FMS springs, GR2 struts, Toyo T1R 195/45/14 on Swift GT alloys
    -Trunk mounted gel battery
-Suzuki Swift GT seats, Grant GT steering wheel, auto-locks
-Blaupunkt Melbourne deck with Bluetooth, sealed single 12" sub

Festivas do really well at autox. The short wheelbase just lets you rotate so fast.

I got 73/158 at the last one I went to. 8)

            Thanks for the support all!

To clarify the number, I registered as 34, but they screwed up and I got reassigned to 122. So the 122 shot is a later run.

I'd love to see some other Festivas out there. Ontario people, I'm looking at you!

                      More results here: http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/pitl/pitl-results.html

All times are after penalties and adjustments. Hitting a cone is 2s and running on street tires is a 2% discount. I missed event 3.

                      Here's some video from event 2: www.nattyphysicist.com/pitl2007_E2/
