Numidia Dragway - July 20

Anyone in or around Central PA area - I'll be going up to Numidia Dragway on July 20th (Friday) around 6 PM to see what the BP will put down in the 1/4... There's a street race event or something that a few of my friends are going to and we'll see how she does.

It's funny you say that... My girlfriends brother just won a nice little video camera... Puts them onto a mini-DVD and they run for 30 minutes. I'll be sure to have it there.

Went last night and had a blast... The Festiva ran well (being called a Fiesta the first run through)... Times are a little higher than I expected, but I think that's my fault over the car.

First run netted a 16.314, second was 16.232 - Both were the "first" runs I've had since the last Pimptiva... A little shakey to start out, plus spinning all through 1st gear.

Third run was my best of the night at 15.711 (@86.86 mph) and then when we went into brackets I ran a 15.970

We did get some videos, but I didn't get them off the camera yet... I'll post them up (along with a few pics) later today or tomorrow sometime. I definatly think the car has low 15 potential as it sits right now... I think it's just me that's the problem.

There were some CRAZY cars there... Including a nice blue Vette that was running 7.7's constantly... NUTS!

You'll have to click "Detail" down at the bottom so you can see what video is what until I get thumbnails made... Brandon is the red WRX, my friend Spencer is in the blue WRX and they were friends with the truck that I raced in my 2nd video... I just did numbers for each of the runs... 1 = first run, etc.

The files are a little large (the first ones are 12 megs each roughly, but as it gets darker, the files sizes are almost cut in half)... So 56k, you'll die trying to get them...

If you're not on cable or DSL, shoot me a PM and I'll put them into a smaller format. I wanted to keep them as big and at the best quality that I could.

Gotta get those 60' times down to better your time like you said in your PM!!! But what were the track conditions? Humidity? Elevation? Temperature? That all effects times as well as driver skill. Your car is def. capable of an 88 mph trap. Which should be a low 15 maybe even a high 14... When I ran, I ran at 0 elevation and around 78 degrees. Goodluck on your next time out. -Kyle

Yea - the 60' times are killing it... I know that the car is capable of low 15's as it sits right now.

I don't remember the overall conditions. I know that the heat had come down a good bit from earlier in the day. and I realize they all have an impact on the time too.

We'll see... the next track I run on is going to be Beaver... You can run pretty much time after time after time there... At Numidia, we would sit for anywhere from 25-30+ minutes for the other classes to clear out. There was a pretty amazing Corvette there that was coming in with 7.77's @ 175+ MPH... it was sick!
