I am from Ottawa, Ontario and have owned this car for about 7 months it’s a 1990 Festiva Lx , I never really planned on owning a festiva but I found this one for sale down the road from my house for 200 bucks with 150 000 km, news brakes and a new exhaust system. It was sitting for 4 years but still ran very good. When I brought it home I started to look it over and found a mouse nest in the air box. I bought the car to use it as a field car and was just going to beat it around the fields and have some fun with it because I didn’t have my license yet. But after driving it awhile I decided it was a good car and to only half beat on it so it has a chance to survive until I get my license. Most of the time you couldn’t see what colour my car was because it was covered in mud. Well I didn’t really like its original white colour so I painted it Tremclad yellow. I also added a set of hood pins, painted the grill, side-moldings, bumpers black and put on the cheap window tint I got from princess auto for $6.99. Since my car is now black and yellow I have named it the “ Lil’ Hornet ” and it displays that with pride on its hatch. Since it gets driven around fields sometimes it gets stuck and has to be pulled out by the tractor but it pretty good at holding its own also I ran over a log and put a dent in the bottom of the gas tank (o well it costs less to fill now). I am hoping to some day put a b6 in it, but the stock motor has such low km’s I am going to keep it stock for a while. The tires are almost completely bald and cracked by weather, but I bought a set of 4 brand new kumhos for $50 from a lady who had them in her garage but never put them on her car so she decided to sell them. Anyway I ended up getting a great car, for a great price that is fun to drive and work on.

    And sasquatch's entry:

the engine bay. the silver thing to the left of the intake manifold is a elec. bell out of a 1962 plymouth fury. to the left of that is the air horns. and yes you are seeing right... that is a elec. switch box on my intake... it looks a bit weird but it works good.

a close up of my headers.

and with all my lights on... it looks dim but the are very bright at night.

and a shot of its friend. its not mine, im holding it here until the spring for AMOS.

some of my "big" planned mods for it are bp and then a turbo add on, rear disks off of a escort gt, roll cage, coilovers and more lights... thanks for reading.

    mike / sasquatch and zippy!
