I did the same swap as "thirdman". I think there is a slight rub in the back and in the front on hard turns but this car is designed for commuting on the highway for the most part so it's not really an issue. If it was to get annoying, I suppose I could add some adapters all the way around and not have any issues... (Trying to keep the expenses in check though)

SO, now are you gonna vote for me

              Damn! A talking car?!?!

Did I mention the underseat tray? :0

Really. That's my only counter to a talking car...

I am not really sure how this works, but here goes.. my entry is an 88 L, I got it from a guy that had big plans for it but never got around to any of them. I picked it up for 350.00.
The head was warped and the engine that was a spare was also huffed. The first thing that I saw was a damn near perfect body with NO rust at all.. This was the one.
I began buying bits as I could afford them, parts cars (2), headers, exhaust, springs, struts, Koenig "Incident" wheels, Bridgestone potenza tires, sway bar, etc. I stripped the interior out, and proceeded to build a 1700 lb. autocross car.
I kept the 1300 engine to stay in that displacement class. It runs with MGs and Sprites with their 1275s.
This little car is an awful lot of fun, a lot drier than my old bugeye sprite, roll up windows, good heater, fairly quick, and it really attracts folks. I actually won 'best ford' at a car show last year. ha.
This is also my daily driver (spring, summer, and fall) and is capable of carrying all kinds of guitars, P.A.s, etc., as I play alot of open mikes here in Columbus.
So there it is, and I hope this posts alright. Thanks for looking, Gary aka Silver 88

I am not sure how to post pictures, but I have them on my profile

Thanks Damkid: I was gonna do that but I did not know if there was a limit or not....

g-crozier: nice ride... Well actually, everyone has some pretty sweet rides...

I think everyone should thus vote for me as my ride isn't as nice and it doesn't even talk. Although, I distinctly recall hearing something the last time I opened the hood. I could swear it asked me to throw some money in there... Coulda been the beer talkin' though... (Yes, my beer talks but not my car...):p:p
