The day she left the car at the ranch was kind of emotional. Her husband put his arm around her and walked her away from the car assuring her that I would take good care of it. Shed owned it for almost 18 years, you could tell she wasnt happy about leaving it. I think she would be very pleased to see that the car is being treated right and is the August FOTM. Wow -- That ^^ itself is a thought of why it is important to keep the Festys going ....a simple practical car that I am sure a lot of first owners admired them too, and took great care with them.
Great story, thanks. Congrats on the winning....our white '90 L Plus has identical interior I think.

Hey, cool ! Thanks everyone !! It was a tough contest against a fellow Missourian ! Linda Blu is a very clean festiva. Not bragging its just true. The previous owner who was also the original owner took very good care of the car. Ive got all the service records as well as the original window sticker that you saw. Its unusual to find someone like that who really loved their festiva and did regular maint. and never abused the car. She told me that she usually took the bus to work and the festiva stayed secured in the garage. The day she left the car at the ranch was kind of emotional. That's a very cool story. She definitely didn't have anything to worry about as far as the car being taken care of.
