ok here goes its October and the Cubbies are DONE, this is my last chance to save my season

i bought the other wise stock festiva from a co-worker about 5 years ago, as a gas saver. my wife said i could "anything" i wanted to it as long as it was free. so i started out small with stickers and magnets. and then moved on to some blue stripe, white moldings and some poorly done words on the hatch. as time went on i would spend my afternoons masking out logos and spraying them on in my drive way.

i thought i had it just the way i wanted till some one suggested i make a giant hat for it that covered the whole roof. i wasn't sure how to do it with out it looking really homemade, so i started searching the internet for a NAPA hat for the roof. (i did get my wifes ok to spend the $65)

more recently i've made some upgrades: power mirrors, tilt steering, intermittent wipers, DJ grill mod, and swaped out the dented rear hatch for one with a rear wiper. also i've swaped out the whole dash for one that i painted Cubbie blue

on the way back from this years spring Ohiotiva she hit 200K

all of this lead to the Cubstivas 15 minutes of fame......

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Update 10/23/2016: I bet this Chicago Cubs fan wishes he hadn't sold his custom Cubs car, now that the Cubs are going to the World Series!#FlyTheW - http://...

i'm hoping to someday do a Apire swap and repair some rust holes on the Cubstiva

yeah it was one of my favs too, but it was getting really rusty and i was able to find a very nice GL hatch for cheap. i didn't know it when i got the car, but its a GL, i've always thought it was an L. so the wiper works great and the reservoir was already there.

Nice, I am so digging the interior on that car. Looks like it's shaping up to be another tough month to vote.

                              Fuzztiva

I guess ill give it a try.

I have always loved festivas since i first got to ride in my sister in laws back in 1996. Too bad i wasn't old enough to drive yet. Then some years later my brother got a 4 speed yellow one. He was always working on it. He put over 100k on it in 2 years. He drives around Ohio all day doing home inspections. Not bad for $100. Well he was going to give it to me when he got another car. To bad he gave it to a scrap yard as the motor locked up. So now a couple years later i found one for sale. My brother was suppose to take me to Portsmith Ohio to go pick it up. I waited all day and he never showed up.
So now i don't rely on him. lol

After getting married and doing the whole responsibility thing and many uncompleted project cars later, i finally got back into looking at festivas. The desire was still there but no money to support the cause. Well this past year has been great. Started my own lawn service and because of it i now have my first festiva. They are addictive. My wife loves it and is considering one, if she can pry away from her Neon. Only having the car a week i have got some done to it. I have written out all my projects for it and a time line where i can work on it at least once a week. Sounding like an old man but im only 28. lol

Done so far: Cleaned, new exhaust, painted wheels, seat covers and a new shift knob. Next to do ... new clutch and stereo system.

Also.. My bro that burned me twice wanted to buy it from me.
                              I just ignored him.
