Many have happened already to this car. The most unforgettable was when it was totally flooded whole at our garage during the year 2009 the Ondoy flashflood together w/ my late Dad's red Pride. That moment was a big leap to my white Pride for the big makeover until now. I was inspired by cars here in our country together w/ the US Festivas. I joined 4 carshows already, and of course won the Best Kia award and the Best Performance Based Ride. By the way I call my Pride, ErnstKia. Why? It was owned by me, Ernest, and it's a Kia Pride. And now HondaSlayer's entry

My festiva I am entering is a 1993 Festiva L. I have had it since before I got my drivers licences. My brother and I were driving around dirt roads near my old house when we saw this little white car sitting in a field all by itself. We stopped in and the owner was outside so we talked to him. Long story short he said you can have it for free if you take the scrap in the back of it. SCORE!. So the next day it was on its way back to our house. Since I was only 14 my brother put it in his name. He was driving it around for a little while. All it needed for inspection was exhaust.

Well about 3 months later I got a Ford ranger for free from another person over in pennsburg. Well my brother wanted the ranger so we traded each other and that was when I got the festy fever. Even though I couldn't drive it I was always tinkering with it and driving it up and down a dirt road near out house. When I finally turned 16 it was off for my permit. Well after the 6 months or whatever it was till I went for my test. Well I took the festiva for my test. The guy laughed at me when I pulled up. Well needless to say it passed the parallel parking no problem. Passed my license and it was all over. I was out in it all the time loving it more and more.

I then found this site and wanted to do a motor swap in the worst way. Fast forward till in the last year. I still had the car and have beatin this car mercilessly since I had got my licence. I went through 2 transmissions and one motor because of a crappy turbo kit gone wrong. Well i still wanted to do a motor swap and was looking around. Well as of bad luck on someone else's part I came across a deal to get a whole swap .

Then the fun begins. I start stripping both cars for the transplant. I never attempted this before but I was so ready for it I didn't care. I got them both in the garage and got to work. I pulled the motor and trans and all the interior to put in my car and started on the bumpers and outside.

Then it was time to move the green one and start on the blue one

I started with this on a Monday.

I ended with this on Saturday in the same week.

That was a rough week. But it was all worth it. When I took that car for a ride down the street I smiled so big I didn't think I could ever stop. It was a rush.

Well as you can see from the next picture my car was looking like it had a bad attack from the Walmart spray can isle. Well time to change that.

Found the spray paint that we had the most of at the house. WHITE IT IS!

After that it was getting all the bugs worked out and just enjoying the pleasure of being one of the proud festiva owners. I have a special place in my heart for my beloved festiva. It was my first car and I will never let this car leave me.

Well that is my story of my festiva and how it got to where it is today and it wouldn't have got this far without all the help from everyone here at fordfestiva.com. Well now that my eyes feel like they are going to fall out from staring at this little phone screen I will say i hope you like my story and consider me for FOTM. Thank you

    Eliott

I thought it would be an easy win for Ernst until I scrolled to hondaslayers entry. I had no idea that was the hulk. Great job on the resurrection! Actually, great job both of you on the resurrections! This is a tough one.

Hulk was just the donor car to his white festiva, I believe the whole chassis was twisted and hulk was beyond repair, but Im sure all good usable parts were saved from it though

Hulk is still sitting waiting to get everything removed. But almost everything was good on him yet. And it was a fun little project for me. I can't wait to completely finish it up and not have it spray painted.

It is an Isuzu stylus if I remember correctly. It takes some modification to fit but from what I have heard it isn't to bad to do it. mine was already on a festiva so all the hard work was done .

oh i see. here, someone does it too from another cars, different types but they cut it in half. top of the bumper would be a festiva but the other half would be from another. the most i like is the hybrid from a festiva and a gtx 323. looks like a festiva gtx,the jdm one, but wider foglight slots.
